Miracle of Adoption

The Miracle of Adoption Ministry officially started in the winter of 2005. We wanted to start a ministry that supported adoptive families and encourage others to adopt. Over the past four years, the ministry has grown into much more.

Our primary focus is still to serve the world’s orphans in any way we can. This can be through monthly sponsorships, mission trips or prayer. We visit an orphanage in Mexico three times each year and take an annual mission trip to wherever God leads us. This year, we are going to Cambodia for the month of January. We will be setting up community health programs, medical clinics and doing orphan care work.

We hold adoption seminars 2-3 times each year encouraging other families to consider adoption. We have been so blessed by our children that we want others to experience the joy we have.

In order to support adoptive families, we hold monthly activities such as Bible studies, pizza parties, picnics and much more.

In addition to the above, we do what we can to serve “the least of these”... the widows, the homeless and the sick.

Each month, we visit a local retirement home. We pass out goodies, hugs and lots of love.

Throughout the year, we pass out homeless packs which consist of a gift card to a fast food restaurant, a Gospel track and a goodie bag filled with powerbars, fruit, toiletries and, of course, chocolate.

A work that is in progress is serving HIV patients. We want to do what we can to share in their hardship and help to eliminate the discrimination they face by educating others. We plan to start a support group in the Spring of 2009.
